We invite you to participate in the “Spontaneous Activity in Brain Development” meeting, a dynamic forum for neuroscientists exploring brain activity during development. The fourth SPONT meeting, SPONT2026, is scheduled from 19-22 October 2026 in Atami, a picturesque seaside town near Tokyo, Japan.

REGISTRATION
On behalf of the organizing committee, we cordially invite you to participate in SPONT2026. This fourth installment of the “Spontaneous Activity in Brain Development” meeting provides a premier forum for neuroscientists to discuss the latest research in the field. The conference will be held from October 19 to 22, 2026, in Atami, Japan.

CALL FOR ABSTRACTS
We are pleased to announce the Call for Abstracts for the “Spontaneous Activity in Brain Development” meeting (SPONT 2026). Scheduled for 19–22 October 2026 in the beautiful seaside resort of Atami, Japan, this meeting serves as a dynamic forum for neuroscientists to explore the complexities of brain activity during development.
The deadline for online abstract submission is the end of August. After a thorough review process, first authors will receive notification of the decision by mid-September.

To get from Haneda Airport to HOTEL RESORPIA ATAMI using the Shinkansen,
follow these directions.

Take the Keikyu Airport Line (bound for Shinagawa/Sengakuji)

From Shinagawa Station to Atami Station
At Shinagawa Station, transfer to the Tokaido Shinkansen (Kodama train).
Take the Shinkansen to Atami Station. The ride takes about 40–45 minutes. -
From Atami Station to Hotel Resorpia Atami
By Foot: It is about a 10–15 minute walk from Atami Station to the hotel.
By Taxi: A taxi ride from the station will take approximately 5 minutes.

To get from Narita Airport to HOTEL RESORPIA ATAMI using the Shinkansen,
follow these directions.
Total Travel Time:
Approx. 2 hours 30 minutes.

Take the Narita Express (N'EX) to Tokyo Station. This takes about 1 hour.

From Tokyo Station to Atami Station
Transfer to the Tokaido Shinkansen (Kodama or Hikari train) at Tokyo Station.
Get off at Atami Station. The ride takes about 40 to 50 minutes. -
From Atami Station to Hotel Resorpia Atami
